In collaboration with adventure cyclist Sarah Swallow and Cristina Francois from Appleton Whittell Research Ranch, I created an illustration for the route Sky Islands Odyssey: East Loop. This is a 125-mile route following a variety of dirt, rocky, and sandy surfaces around the Santa Rita Mountains and the AWRR is a stop on the route. This illustration was based on all the critters that can be spotted on the ranch in Elgin, Arizona. Featuring a bikepacker, many century plants, a qual, a roadrunner, owl, frog, javelina, pronghorn, and jaguar-- all within the biodiversity that lays beneath the Mustang Mountains. Traditionally, Tohono O'odham land. This artwork was created specifically for a print on a t-shirt and soon a patch. Contact the Appleton Whittell Research Ranch for purchase
